CURRICULUM
Dr. Igor Passaglia is a Plastic Surgeon trained in the two most renowned institutions of the specialty in Brazil and among the most prestigious in the world: the Ivo Pitanguy Institute and the University of São Paulo (USP). His training reflects the excellence and legacy of his primary mentor, Prof. Ivo Pitanguy, one of the greatest names in global Plastic Surgery.
He began his professional path at the age of 17 when he entered Medical School in Ribeirão Preto – São Paulo, graduating at 23. He completed general surgery residency entry tests, being approved in the country's primary services. Following 2 years of General Surgery (a prerequisite to enter the specialty), he was approved in Plastic Surgery in first place at SUS-SP, out of 2,430 surgeons participating in the contest that year, and also at the Ivo Pitanguy Institute.
Throughout his 3 years of plastic surgery training, he participated in numerous national and international congresses and events, followed prestigious surgeons around the world, highlighting visits to the United States (Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York), South Africa (Cape Town), and Portugal (Porto). He also holds multiple scientific papers and published book chapters in his curriculum. Upon graduation, he passed the Board Title Exam, becoming a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery.
Following the completion of this monumental stage in his training, he carried out two years of fellowships in Craniofacial Surgery and Orbitopalpebral Surgery at the University of São Paulo (USP).
He underwent a new certification exam for promotion to Full Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), achieving the highest qualification level within the primary Plastic Surgery institution in Brazil.
He completed his Doctorate (PhD) and Post-Doctorate in Plastic Surgery at USP, consolidating his academic and scientific career. A total of 18 years dedicated to professional excellence and science.
